Today’s topic is, “Text me those hot web leads!”
All right, welcome to the Friday roundup. Today is Friday, November 18, 2016 and the topic is Text Me Those Hot Web Leads. Hello everyone, I'm John Peterson with Develare and followed up on a lead from 7:20 AM. The gentleman who got the call was pleasantly surprised and I made a great first impression. To be honest though, I'm a little disappointed because you see, we didn't get back to him in 30 minutes or less; however, our follow up time is way ahead of the industry average and an hour and 35 minutes compared to the industry average of 42 hours is way better.
You see, this article came out on how to spot, talked about following up on leads, talked about how important they were and I was dumbfounded, I was shocked at that 42 hour return time. You might be thinking to yourself, "Well ..." Yeah, don't worry. We're here to help you fix that. The thing is, most of us are not selling impulse purchases; however, a lead that reaches out to your website, fills out that contact form, fills out that quote form, they're wanting you to follow up and there is an emotional side to that business decision. Even though it's not an impulse decision, there is an emotional component to that business decision and if you wait too long to follow up with that lead, that emotional side that drove that business decision, it flat lines. So how do we do it?
Well, every form on our website hooks into a service called Zapier. Zapier functions like glue for the web, hooking together Quickbooks to Mail Champ, Evernote to Dropbox, and in our case, Zapier integrates web forms with an SMS service and that in turn, sends a message to my phone.
Now, the idea is here that form gets filled out, I get a text notification, and then I follow up within a few minutes. The cool thing is, Zapier even has free plans, so whether it's minutes or hours, if you implement this solution, this tip, then you'll be light years ahead of the competition.
That's the Friday roundup. I'm John Peterson with Develare, signing off.
