Today’s topic is, “Facebook Remarketing”
All right. Welcome to the Friday Roundup, Facebook Remarketing. For many of you, many of you know who I am. I'm John Peterson at Develare. The holidays are almost over. Perhaps over the holidays you visited a website for that pair of shoes that you had to have. Then all of a sudden their shoes appear on Facebook? How'd they do that?
There's a couple of parts to that. Number one. That website for their shoes you were visiting has what's called a Facebook pixel in there somewhere. Those shoe guys, well, they're advertising on Facebook using Facebook Remarketing ads. You can kind of think of these Facebook Remarketing ads as the difference between warm leads and cold leads.
Yes, they could advertise to someone like you, in your zip code, your age range, your height, your whatever, and that would be a cold lead. Or, they could advertise to you, Mr. Person who just visited, or Mrs. Person who just visited their website. That's a lot more cost effective. Warm leads versus cold leads.
You might be thinking to yourself, "That's great. What can I use these Facebook Remarketing ads for?" You can use them for a lot of things. You can use them to supplement your existing marketing strategy. If you've got flyers going out, maybe you've got e-mails going out, maybe you've got phone calls that are being made, you can use it to supplement that.
Or it could be something just super simple, just to stay top of mind. You could also use it to be less annoying, Mr. "I have to call leads seven times" guy. Yes, many of you have heard that to get that sale, that you have to follow up seven times. Not all seven times have to be a phone call. Use Facebook Remarketing ads to be less annoying.
I know there's none of you watching that do that, but this is a strategy that could help everybody out. Facebook Remarketing ads are much cheaper than your regular Facebook ads. It goes to warm leads nicked much more effective. Great resource. If you want to learn more, there's a Facebook page out there, the Facebook business page called "One pixel, More features". I'm going to put a link to that in description area below.
There's another great article by the folks over at WordStream. It's called "The Ridiculously Awesome Guide to Facebook Marketing". Hope you enjoyed the last Friday Roundup of 2016. I'm John Peterson with Develare.
