80% of all independently owned small businesses fail. Conversely, roughly 80% of all franchises succeed. The difference is the process. Use the power of process to propel your WordPress website to new heights in performance.
John Peterson, President of Develare, has put the power of process at the core of his company. In this month’s meeting, John will present, “Choose Your Own Adventure: A Business Owner’s Guide to Maintaining WordPress”.
He’ll cover:
- Identify coding and performance problems before they metastasize.
- Upgrade your WordPress website on the sly using our time tested techniques.
- Monitor for malware and website outages before they bite you.
The best part? The topic with the most interest gets the most time! You choose your own adventure by using the hashtag #DFWWP on Twitter or by commenting on meetup.

Biography
John Peterson founded Develare in 2001. By combining 10 years of software development skills with a genuine desire to help others, John has created a company that makes the web work for small business.
John Peterson’s first experience with the power of the web came in college while at Texas A&M University. John created the original grade distribution search engine to discover which professors gave the highest grades. At it’s peak the website was receiving over 20,000 hits per day. For his efforts, the Student Engineer’s Council presented him with the Service in Engineering Award.
After college, John developed software used in creating 3D transistors, custom GPS units, games for mobile devices, and enterprise web applications. Drawing on this experience and the revolution with cloud computing, Develare is able to bring enterprise software development processes to small businesses.
